Our trauma-informed movement therapy integrating Pilates and yoga is designed to support recovery from psychological injury and trauma through gentle, mindful movement.Rooted in safety, self-regulation, and empowerment, these practices help restore nervous system balance, reduce stress, and rebuild connection to the body. Our program is particularly focused on frontline workers—including emergency responders, healthcare professionals, and defence personnel—recognising their unique needs in managing trauma and stress. Aspart of this commitment, we are developing service dog-friendly movement classes, creating a safe and inclusive space for healing alongside trusted companions.

Psychologist

I’ve been a registered psychologist since 2004, working across private practice, employee assistance programs (EAP), and law enforcement psychology. I’ve spent time as a psychologist with the Australian Federal Police (AFP), supporting frontline professionals and have also worked in academia as a teacher and researcher. After moving to Canberra with my family, I expanded my work into research and policy roles in the public sector.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, and I take a straightforward, conversational approach to therapy. My goal is to help you build the tools you need to enhance your wellbeing, resilience and personal growth in a way that makes sense for you. I first worked with Lia at the AFP, and that’s where our professional connection began—one that has now brought us together at SISU Canberra, where I’m excited to be part of a team dedicated to psychological wellbeing and support.
